Wastewater Lab and Sampling Basics

Training: 8:00 am - 9:00 am
This is a no-cost training that will give an overview of wastewater lab basics. Focus will be on simple lab and sampling practices used for lagoon/pond operations.
Training will be pertinent to questions that might be found on the WIDNR Laboratory exam but also for lab work used for process control and offers 1 wastewater contact hour.

Lagoon, Ponds, and Natural Systems Overview

This is a no-cost training that will give an overview of lagoon, pond, and natural systems in Wisconsin. The training will cover best O&M practices, process control, and safety. There will be time for group discussion to hear from other operator experiences.

This training was funded and/or carried out as part of the EPA/RCAP Training and Technical Assistance for Wastewater Treatment Works 3 for the Prevention, Reduction, and Elimination of Pollution.

Water Audit Implementation
Tuesday October 20, 2026
9:00 am - 12:30 pm
This training covers the importance of performing a water audit to assist with controlling non-revenue water while covering the 5 core areas: Water Supplied, Authorized Consumption, Water Losses, System Data & Cost Data. Additionally, attendees will experience a hands-on water audit example activity.
This training has been applied to provide 3.0 municipal waterworks contact hours.
