Free Fremont Shuttle Rides on Feb. 14

Take a ride on the TRIPS Fremont Shuttle at no cost on Friday, Feb. 14

The free fare day is TRIPS way of celebrating Ohio Loves Transit Week, Feb. 9-15

In 2024, the TRIPS Fremont Shuttle provided 12,028 rides to passengers at a low cost of $1 per ride, stopping at 18 locations in Fremont, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Those who haven’t yet ridden the Fremont Shuttle are encouraged to give the service a try on Friday. A list of shuttle stops and schedule information is available at www.glcap.org/trips. 

In addition to the rides provided by TRIPS Fremont Shuttle last year, TRIPS demand-response service gave 26,366 rides in 2024 to Sandusky County residents for work, medical appointments, dialysis, school, and other needs. 

The Ohio Department of Transportation 2024 Facts Book reports that public transportation agencies throughout the state provided 60 million trips during the previous year. TRIPS joins these agencies during Ohio Loves Transit Week to recognize the role that public transportation plays in getting people where they need to go.
