More than 2,400 households helped through COVID Relief services

Since funding became available in October 2020, thousands of households in northwest Ohio have been helped by the COVID Relief assistance through Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP).

GLCAP has provided rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to 2,490 households financially impacted by COVID-19 in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood County. Over $4 million of COVID assistance funding has been spent so far to directly help those in need.

Funding is still available through Sept. 30, 2022, for those who need assistance. Residents are eligible for assistance if they have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19. This includes, but is not limited to, missed work due to shutdowns, reduced hours, illness in household, and lost wages due to quarantine.

Assistance is available to residents of Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood County.
