New hotline and web scheduling system for utility assistance
There is a new hotline and web scheduling system for utility assistance appointments. The new phone number is 419-273-4212 and appointments may also be made at www.glcap.itfrontdesk.com.
The scheduling system is used for emergency utility bill assistance needs (such as the current Summer Crisis Program that provides cooling support for eligible households) as well as appointments for Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) Plus assistance. Links to scheduling and other details are also available on the pages linked above.
Help for summer cooling continues to be available through Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP), now through Sept. 30, 2024 for households in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties.
Those enrolled in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP) program who meet the above criteria may also be eligible for assistance towards their default PIPP payment, first PIPP payment, central air conditioning repairs, or may receive an air conditioning unit or fan.
Households with up to seven members must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines to qualify for assistance (e.g. $26,355 annual income/household of one; $54,600 annual income/family of four). For a family of eight or more, annual income must be 60% of the State Median Income.
