No-cost childcare available for families working in agriculture

No-cost childcare for children ages six weeks through five years is available for families working in agriculture fields through the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) Migrant & Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) program.

GLCAP’s MSHS program offers no-cost, full-day early childhood education that focuses on school readiness, socialization, and other important developmental needs for children and families. Centers are located throughout Ohio in Fremont, Napoleon, New Carlisle, and Shiloh. Daily meals and snacks as well as transportation to and from centers are included.

Families are eligible if parent or guardian earns more than 50 percent of his or her income from an agriculture profession. This includes harvesting, handling, processing, and other ag-related work.

For more information or to enroll, visit www.glcap.org/mshs or call 1-800-775-9767.
