Replenish fuel supplies with help from GLCAP’s Winter Crisis Program
As winter progresses, households that rely on propane and other bulk fuels to keep their homes warm may find themselves running low on supplies.
The Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) Winter Crisis Program can assist low-income households with replenishing fuel supplies before they run out. The Winter Crisis Program assists households that utilize wood, kerosene, propane, fuel oil, and wood pellets, and have less than 25% bulk fuel.
The Winter Crisis Program is available for income-eligible residents of Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa, and Seneca counties.
Residents must be at or below 175 percent of federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $2,126.25 monthly income/household of one; $4,375.00 monthly income/household of four) to be eligible for assistance. Applicants must also provide a list of all household members, including social security numbers and birthdates; proof of citizenship for all household members; proof of income for all household members for the previous 30 days or 12 months; and copies of recent utility bills.
Scheduling and details regarding the Winter Crisis Program are available online at www.glcap.org/winterheating or by calling 567-432-5046.
