Students can also receive assistance such as career coaching, housing vouchers, and food vouchers, as well as paid work experiences through the program.

“Along with tuition assistance, the Job Corps Scholars program offers support for purchasing work uniforms, helping with transportation and childcare costs, and helping with other needs so that students may better focus their completing their education and achieving their career goals,” GLCAP Youth Employment Specialist Bonnie Nusser said.

The program is available for young adults ages 16-24 who meet income guidelines and other eligibility requirements. The deadline to apply for tuition assistance is April 21, 2021.
